Each of our new Associate Editors has been integral to the development of KJS through their prior roles as reviewers and their contributions as authors or co-authors of published works in the journal. Their profound understanding of the peer-review process and commitment to surgical innovation makes them exceptionally qualified to enhance the quality and impact of our journal:
Mentor Petrela: A highly regarded neurosurgeon, Dr. Petrela has made significant strides in neurosurgery, research, and education. He has held key positions in neurosurgical societies and has educated numerous neurosurgeons. His expertise encompasses cerebrovascular surgery, skull base operations, and awake craniotomies, complemented by extensive publications in prestigious international journals.
Jose Manuel Ramia: Renowned for his work in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, Dr. Ramia is a well-respected figure in the field of gastrointestinal oncology, liver transplantation, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. His expertise in complex liver and pancreas surgeries aligns with our journal’s focus on innovative surgical methodologies and evidence-based practices.
Lumnije Kqiku Biblekaj: Currently the Vice-President of the Kosova College of Surgeons for Europe, Dr. Kqiku-Biblekaj is a distinguished expert in endodontics and dental traumatology. She leads the Special Clinic of Endodontics and Dental Traumatology at the Medical University of Graz, Austria, and her research includes modern endodontic treatments and interdisciplinary approaches to oral health.
Mentor Ahmeti: A seasoned general and trauma surgeon, Dr. Ahmeti has significantly influenced surgical education and clinical practice in Kosova. His dedication to training the next generation of surgeons and refining surgical techniques in the region is truly commendable.
Astrit Hamza: General Surgeon at the University Clinical center and Hospital of Kosova. His expertise spans advanced laparoscopic techniques, hepatobiliary surgery, and trauma surgery, backed by extensive training in leading European institutions and numerous high-impact research contributions.
