Lumnije Kqiku, MD, DDS, Ph.D. is the Vice-President of the Kosova College of Surgeons for Europe and an esteemed academic in Endodontics and Dental Traumatology. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Dentistry, at the University of Pristina and nostrified her diploma at the Medical University of Graz, Austria, where she earned her doctorate in 2004.
Dr. Kqiku serves as an academic lecturer and Head of the Special Clinic of Endodontics and Dental Traumatology at the University Dental Clinic Graz. She is also the Deputy Speaker for Doctoral Studies in Dentistry and a coordinator for the Central European Exchange Program for University Studies. She lectures medical, dental, and postgraduate students and is certified in Endodontics and Dental Traumatology by both the University of Prishtina and the Medical University of Graz.
She has held research positions at the University of Zagreb and the Medical University of Tübingen. Since 2018, she has been a faculty member at the Medical University of Graz. Her clinical and research interests include complex dental trauma and modern endodontics, and she has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Kqiku was the first woman from Kosova and Albania to be featured in Who’s Who in the World (2011). She has received multiple research awards and frequently delivers keynote lectures worldwide. She is Vice President of the Austrian Dental Traumatology Association, President of the Committee for International Relations of the Kosova College of Surgeons, and a board member of the Kosova Journal of Surgery.
In April 2023, she was honored with the Honorary Personality with Gold Medal Award from the City of Graz, Austria.
